Groupe Sculnick Transportion was founded in 1995 by Lawrence and Stanley Sculnick. At that time, they consolidated their more than 15 years of combined experience in the transportation and logistics industry and opened Groupe Sculnick Transportion in a small warehouse in Lachine. Undeterred by starting with only one office and five doors they focused on cultivating contacts, developing relationships and building an excellent reputation.

Determined to develop their company into a driving force in the local transportation industry, they sought all types of freight and quickly grew their fleet to 5 p &d trucks, 4 tractors, 6 container chassis and 2 dry vans and the company expanded its dock space and parking.

The company's most significant growth came when they diversified into the third party logistics by becoming the break bulk terminal for some larger transport companies in the U.S. and Canada. Picking up and distributing in addition to coordinating all types of freight to and from Eastern and Western Canada and the continental U.S. Groupe Sculnick Transportation began pick-ups and distribution as well.

In 1996, the company moved into newer more modern facilities in Dorval to make room for the expansion. The company can now accommodate parking for over 300 trailers, has 30 cross-docks and a separate garage facility to provide improved service and preventive maintenance on all equipment.
